Ever since I graduated from high school, got married, and had a kid… well hard core gaming just isn’t so interesting anymore. I still like to relax after a long day of blogging with a game or two online… most games today are a little bit violent for our 2 year old child… I picked up Dungeon Defenders along with a couple of extra copies for my cousin and wife. In my line of work there is nothing more important than reliability. My network has to function at 100% every day! With the some times thousands of file transfers between my workstation and test server here at the house there is no room for error, and the speed must be unrivaled! Especially since Google will be installing gigabit internet here soon and I will be running a webserver from my house there isn’t anything that comes in priority over a fast, reliable switch. Okay, so don’t tell my wife… but I might have, maybe, kind of taken a peak at her Christmas present… the Kindle Fire. My wife is big on the portable computing thing… but she’s been hinting that her laptop gets a little too toasty on her lap after extended use, and maybe I could find her something that is a little more portable friendly Well I also know she’s big on reading, tons of books all over the house of hers. And yeah, you can read books on any tablet if they are in PDF form… but why not get one with thousands of books available with service designed for it? That’s why I settled on the Kindle Fire, and I just couldn’t keep my hands off of it when it arrived today! So after my little hands on review of my wifes Kindle Fire… I have to say that I might be hooked, I might need one of my own

Mercedes makes the toughest cars in the world! Seriously, I watch a lot of crash test videos and nothing comes out as good as a Mercedes!!! Probably because 90% of our safety improvements come from F1 racing, Mercedes and Ferrari are the two top spenders in F1 so they get the best safety improvements for their road cars. Most cars would of crumpled into a tiny ball at 65mph… 120mph is not double the impact force of 65mph it’s more like 8 times the impact force. Force grows exponentially with speed. Watched this a couple more times and I’m totally impressed still! The announcer is an idiot, the roof is not “ripped off” or “flung like tin foil” it reached the end of it’s lifespan, crushed as much as it could safely crush before hitting the driver… it then released AS IT IS DESIGNED TO to reduce mass and take impact force away from the driver. If you look closely though, the rear window is still intact!!! That’s impressive!!! The announcer is the “scariest police chase video” and “america’s most wanted” guy…all he knows how to do is make things sound worse than they actually are Jack Walsh, I think is his name.
