Most of you who have followed this blog over the years know that as with many people my age, my gaming habits have transformed over the years. I’ve gone to more of a casual gamer, playing online titles, and other games that don’t monopolize my time. One of those online games I’ve gotten into is OurWorld. It’s a fun little game that you can log on and off without requiring you to spend hours at a time playing… well unless you want to get enough gems to do anything, or become a resident. That’s why I was so happy when I found this video that shows you how to get Ourworld Resident Account, Gem Codes, Gems, Cheats and other stuff. The

This is quite possibly my favorite mouse of all time. I’ve had a lot of mice over the years, gaming, ergonomic, tablets… all sorts of input devices to replace the mouse… Nothing quite matches the Logitech G9X Laser Gaming Mouse. I can’t believe other mouse manufacturers haven’t caught on… there are a couple of very simple but very effective ideas that the Logitech G9X Laser Gaming Mouse incorporates. One of them is the onboard memory! Okay, so programable buttons, macros, and different profiles are available with a lot of mice anymore… but most of them require the software to do it, which means I can’t use my macros when on Linux… The Logitech G9X Laser Gaming Mouse is a totally different animal in that respect. It stores my profiles IN THE MOUSE!!! Which means that I can use everything exactly as I have programmed it no matter what computer, or operating system I am on. It may not look it, but it is also very ergonomic, the low profile design keeps your hand in a more natural position. The left click primary button is a separate button, very easy to click… while the right click is made into the body making it slightly more stiff helping you avoid accidental slipups of pressing the wrong button (especially important in First Person Shooter Games). If you have not already tried the Logitech G9X Laser Gaming Mouse DO SO NOW!! I also especially love the micro gear so that you can switch between a firm click scrolling, and a very smooth fast scrolling wheel! It helps reduce repetitive impact injuries that other mice create, while also allowing you to precisely select through scrolling.

Boredom!

Just for fun Comments Off

Just another slow, boring day huh? Not much to do around here on this Veteran’s Day other than donating to Ron Paul… aside from that just sittin’ around playing some Alliance of Valiant Arms, making fun of Herman Cain, and being bored. I know I need to keep up with the blogging stuff, but don’t have a whole lot of inspiration to do so… actually I think I can attribute that to I never had my morning coffee… it’s too late now, I think the only redemption for me would be to take a nap, then coffee up and get to work. Sounds like a plan to me if I don’t say so myself ;-) Also need to get gas in the car… and do some other silly things… Maybe some driving games for the heck of it, I’m thinking blowing up some cop cars would be nice, so Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit might be my game of choice today :-P my Fanatec wheel and Clubsport pedals might be my peripherals of choice for this adventure… thought a vibration feedback racing wheel would be sufficient for NFS: Hot Pursuit since the game only has vibration feedback anyways. Aight, off to nap time, then maybe gaming world… and maybe work to follow :-P

Genius makes a decent twin motor vibration feedback racing wheel… but before I discovered that I got one of these from Genius trying to get my cousin into playing some racing games with me! Uh… yeah… ForceFeedback strength is very low, if it works at all. It clanks and makes a lot of noises that makes you think it’s going to fall apart too! No, you get just as much sensation with the Genius vibration feedback wheel… so I would say don’t waste the extra money. If you’re looking for a super cheap easy way to get into racing games grab a Genius vibration feedback wheel… it’ll serve you better in my opinion ;-)

I’ve been doing a lot of updates with product reviews for games, computer peripherals and all sorts of other geeky things… Kinda tired of doin’ it for right now, so gonna take a day off! Write something that I’m actually doing, rather than reviewing a computer product or game I’ve purchased :-P Other than blogging and keeping up with the tech industry… I’ve been building a new website. Well it’s not really new, it’s sort of an old website, some guys I fell in line with at the Bible Animated project. Their website was completely static, so I think it’s about time for an update for them. I volunteered to update their site with some PHP and MySQL backend stuff. Of course it’s not a paid job, but should help them, and myself streamline production and get some good projects going! Definitely excited about working with a group of other guys who know a little bit of animation tricks so we can get down to business animating the Bible and sharing the word of God, with the 21st century ;-)

Are you looking for rechargeable batteries? Of course you are! So many things use batteries anymore that it seems like I’m looking for batteries for just about everything. From Connors toys, to remotes, wireless mice, keyboards, cameras, and a whole boat load of other products… I’m always in need of AA batteries. Around this house rechargeable is the only way to go, the cost of replacing batteries is insanely high if we can’t charge them. The Sanyo NEW 1500 eneloop 4 Pack AA Ni-MH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries are the best rechargeable batteries I’ve ever found. The price is right and the power is perfect. I don’t pretend to understand all the technology behind the Sanyo Eneloop batteries… why they have such a slow discharge rate, or why they seem more effective than other batteries. What I do know is that the Sanyo NEW 1500 eneloop 4 Pack AA Ni-MH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries work great, all the time, without surprises. The Sanyo NEW 1500 eneloop 4 Pack AA Ni-MH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries are especially effective in electronics that don’t get a whole lot of use and spend a lot of time sitting around like remotes. Most batteries discharge at a fast rate in these circumstances while the Sanyo NEW 1500 eneloop 4 Pack AA Ni-MH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries self discharge at such a slow pace that even after 7 years of non-use they will be at least 75% charged!!!! That’s pretty intense, most batteries don’t come to half of that ability! Get yourself a set of Sanyo NEW 1500 eneloop 4 Pack AA Ni-MH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries and you won’t regret it :-D (you also won’t be replacing your Sanyo NEW 1500 eneloop 4 Pack AA Ni-MH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries any time soon)

This is my sweet spot, my little piece of heaven! I’ve been waiting for the AMD FX 8150 for a VERY long time! Or at least it feels like a very long time… A beast CPU for 3D rendering, and gaming. The FX lineup from AMD is a multi-taskers dream come true! A lot of people are quick to judge the fact that the AMD FX-8150 only barely passes similarly priced Intel CPU’s… what they haven’t taken into account is A) real world use, and B) overclocking! This beast overclocks itself, when under full load I’ve never seen mine hit less than 3.8ghz across the whole spectrum! It only runs at 3.6ghz if the heat is too much, and well… THE HEAT DOESN’T GET TOO MUCH WITH THIS CPU!!! Seriously, 8 cores and it runs cool still… That is an amazing feat, it means AMD could of pushed these bad boys a lot further than they did… but they give you that option! If you want to push your CPU to its limits you can easily do so overclocking (the 3.8ghz mine runs is a factory setting, it does so automatically unless heat gets too much). I’ve read a lot of reviews where they get a 30% performance increase (in some instances) from an overclock to 4.2ghz across the whole spectrum! That’s pretty intense… haven’t messed with it myself, but I imagine with my quad 120mm fan radiator I should be able to hit 4.5ghz without breaking a sweat ;-)

Oh, and I was talking about real world performance… Granted I’m moving from an AMD quad core CPU… but the AMD FX-8150 makes everything faster for me! I’ve got 4 15,000 RPM hdd’s in RAID 5, and the speed in which I can load, save, and boot up increased dramatically. For someone who multi-tasks using multiple monitors, and 5 or 10 programs at once… there isn’t anything faster! The AMD FX-8150 has helped my computer keep up with my rate of work! So to all the nay sayers… maybe it’s not for you, but for me the AMD FX 8150 8-Core Processor 3.6ghz x8 Socket AM3+ FD8150FRGUBOX is exactly what the doctor ordered :-D

For a long time the idea of “repairs” was lost on Americans. Why get something repaired when you can just buy a new one? I mean that’s what our culture was telling us to do anyways. This economic depression we’ve been in for a couple of years now has changed a lot of our minds though. The new sentiment is “why spend money on something new when I can get it repaired for less?” however, years of the former sentiment has left a lot of us at a loss when it comes to finding a

It always amazes me how fast technology moves. I bought a camera a few years ago, did tons of research, and got the best bang for my buck as I intended to use it for taking pictures of my jewelry for my online business. It is aging a little bit now, and won’t take an SDHC card (it was before the high capacity was added to the specifications). So looking for new cameras I ran across this Transcend 32 GB Class 10 SDHC Flash Memory Card TS32GSDHC10E which is astounding! For the same price as I paid for my 4GB SD flash card you’ve got the Transcend 32 GB Class 10 SDHC Flash Memory Card TS32GSDHC10E that can hold 32GB of information! Even high resolution videos would be able to store a good half hour or more depending on the format! I keep getting amazed by technology, I guess that’s why I love it so much. Soon not only will you have Transcend 32 GB Class 10 SDHC Flash Memory Card TS32GSDHC10E type drives for your camera at decent prices like this, but we’ll all be running flash drives on our computers once they work out the kinks! For a camera the Transcend 32 GB Class 10 SDHC Flash Memory Card TS32GSDHC10E is a great buy, you would be able to store thousands of high resolution images, or several minutes of HD video… Definitely picking up a Transcend 32 GB Class 10 SDHC Flash Memory Card TS32GSDHC10E for when I grab a new camera so that I can keep everything safe in one place!

If my previous review of the Logitech Wireless Performance MX mouse enticed you, but didn’t seem to have enough functionality for you… well then the Logitech Wireless Gaming Mouse G700 is your mouse! I’m not an MMORPG player, and the additional buttons don’t help me in any game I play… but I still love this mouse! Not only is it wonderfully ergonomic (similar design as the MX) but it has all kinds of macro keys that I use when working online. I save code snippets that I use a lot in macros, links that I am using a lot, or strings of information all can be saved on the Logitech Wireless Gaming Mouse G700 with enough keys to let you program tons of functionality in. You can use the keys for all sorts of fuctions like changing brush sizes in photoshop, saving, macros… you name it… I love this little mouse it helps me be more productive than I could be without it.
