Iain, who’s 42, works in marketing, and started making movies just 18 months ago. “I’ve always been a hands-on person, in music, sport, and everything else,” he says. “I thought it would be fun to shoot a music video, but I’m not the most technical of people, and it seemed extraordinarily hard.  I remember when computer games started using in-game animation to tell the story instead of video clips, and this interested me, especially now that game technology has become so sophisticated. So I bought a book, Machinima for Dummies, which had Moviestorm on the CD, and I was hooked. I liked Moviestorm because it did what I was looking for, even though I didn’t really know what I was looking for at the time, and the Moviestorm community was very supportive.  I initially made comedies, but I could see that the movies people respected were more dramatic, so it seemed that was the direction to go in.”

He spent four months working on Clockwork, and then the same again on his next short, Cloud Angel, a steampunk thriller set on board an airship.  Apart from the voice acting, he made the entire film himself at his home in Basingstoke, England.  “I’m lucky that my friends are so willing to step up to the mike and read my silly scripts!” he laughs. His next film is Gridlock, a science fiction comedy which he is co-producing with another successful Moviestorm director, James Thorpe.  For this, they’ve stepped up the production costs a notch: they hired a recording studio and got the local amateur dramatic group to do the voice acting.

Iain is realistic about his future, though.  “Am I ambitious? Yes. Do I want to keep it as just a hobby? Well, probably yes, because I imagine that if it became a full time activity, the fun might go out of it. I make movies as escapism. That said, I think that this industry would be really interesting to work in, because it’s embryonic; I’m not sure what direction it will go in. It’s exciting!”

Moviestorm’s CEO, Jeff Zie, is hugely enthusiastic and supportive.  “Iain and the many other Moviestorm users are an inspiration to us all,” he says. “We’re really proud that we’re giving talented people like this the tools they need to unleash the creative potential they never knew they had, and to produce these wonderful films.”

Alright so it’s my first time using the new system as an advertiser… let me say that the frustrations I was having as a blogger are amplified by 10,000 times now!

Here’s the problem. I’m trying to promote a new site that I’ve just created http://www.PetitionsForChange.com and I want to give you money to promote it! I don’t know if Izea wants this to be said… and I honestly don’t really care, but I recently got $100 to spend on a campaign as an advertiser in Sponzai! Woot! Hey I was going to spend a little money anyways… uh not on Sponzai since it has nofollow links but if it’s free I will take it! If things work out well heck I’ll spend more money on Sponzai… so far it’s not been great. Initially I had things set wrong (I meant to do 10,000 backlinks and accidentally hit the next tier 25,000 and that’s why I couldn’t find anyone to offer things to). After I got it figured out I went through and found sites with over 500 people a month according to Compete (I’d prefer for you to have WAY more than that but hey beggers can’t be chosers can we?)

I’ve gone through and made offers to people a couple of times so far I’ve spent $22 and have $78 remaining to give to you! I’ve tried to gather leads, I’ve tried picking bloggers by hand, and can’t get ANYONE to take my offer! I hear people complain all day long about how there are no offers available etc. etc. etc. well if there are so few offers why won’t bloggers take the opportunities presented to them? Sponzai is dead simple too as a blogger! I’ve had 10 opportunities as a blogger on Sponzai so far in total I think I’ve spent 30 seconds on them! Plus they are all nofollow links so it’s really not a big deal.

Maybe some bloggers can tell me why my opportunity was rejected by so many bloggers… I understand that a petition website doesn’t fit all bloggers content, and since I wrote the article it can’t be manipulated to fit your content… that is understandable and I can honor that 100% For the rest of you I wrote about 200 words or so of clear English text about my new site PetitionsForChange.com with the header image of the site at the bottom of the entry, and 3 no follow links. The site being advertised is not offensive in any way (In fact it’s a really good site for bloggers I know you have a lot of issues maybe some with Izea that you might want to get resolved, and hey you can get a free link from a PR3 website by creating a petition), the price range was set by bloggers and I would think should be acceptable then right? I’m a blogger and I know you set the price ranges so why wouldn’t what you set be acceptable?

Alright, enough ranting, here’s what I want. I want interested bloggers to list what you have. I will personally check out each of your blogs you list here, but remember you MUST have a bare minimum of 500 visitors to your site per month according to Compete.com ranking system. You also need to have a BARE minimum of 1,000 backlinks according to Yahoo! prices are negotiable and will vary depending upon how many visitors and how many back links. I would like to offer around $2 (meaning you get $1) for the bare minimum anything more than that and it is not profitable for me (well technically any of it is profitable since the money came from Izea but lets pretend this is my own money I’m spending here I really want to like the system but that depends upon a successful campaign). $5 would go to sites with about 5,000-9,999 Yahoo! backlinks and 1,000-2,000 visitors per month.

I will also be creating an opportunity in PPPv4 in about a month or so (I need to give this first campaign time to measure results and success of the campaign before I begin a new one) so I will keep higher PR blogs in mind for that, but as it stands with nofollow links PR won’t be taken into account when considering your blog for this Sponzai opportunity.

What I didn’t notice at other similar resources I found at rapid4me.com: here together with rapidshare links, one can find torrents (http://torrents.rapid4me.com ) and .pdf (http://pdf.rapid4me.com ). Such a universal search engine. Good idea, to my mind.

This resource has already won its popularity and has it’s own number of devoted users. They also have an option “Rapidshare Search Toolbar from Rapidlibrary “ and besides provide search by different files types. At first sight everything is clear, but when you choose the file to download and get to the list of links, you may feel a bit puzzled because of number of colors at the page and other things which distract attention. Personally for me it is a minus, though it is very subjective, sure thing. In all the rest this search engine deserves attention.

When only you visit homepage, you see a logo and developers’ promise to provide users with “new updated, constantly improving database”. And whenever I tried to find some certin file, my searches were rather successful. So let’s hope that developers do not act against their conscience and are absolutely sincere.

Another useful feature that bursts upon my eyes – an ability to download the file in question quicker than by other similar resources. You don’t need make additional clicks – just choose the file, enter CAPTCHA to have access to the links and voilà – start the download process.



4. http://www.filestube.com/

Rapidshare, megaupload and mediafire search engine provides users with advanced search by word, phrase, date and size, which sometimes may be essential for the search process. The process of search and download is quick and doesn’t require registration. Another interesting detail – premium accounts are said to cost only $1.99. Does this mean high download speed or just unlimited access to the resources of… filestube.com??? The latter is true as it turned out. Would you like to pay for what other similar resources provide on a free basis? The choice is upon you!

This search engine allows us to take the bull by the horns. You have come to find and download some file – you are welcome, nothing will distract your attention from the main aim. Came – found – downloaded. Everything is precise and clear as it should be!

Rapidshare SE possesses a huge rapidshare links base, which you may get… only after you pay for the access code. But when you do, you are promised to be shown to “unlimited access to all files stored on our servers with no size and speed restrictions”. Intrigued? Me too. All the rest satisfies the most sophisticated users: design, simplicity, user-friendliness – perfect!

Rapidshare search engine doesn’t provide any advanced search options, searches in titles, specific file types etc. This search engine specializes on its main function – search for and give access to rapidshare links. What else is need from a decent functional rapidshare search engine?
