I know a lot of people with vision problems, especially the older I get. I even have some vision problems and I’m not very old. But our bodies deteriorate over time, one of the first things to go is our eyes. Luckily if you live in Utah I have a great Utah Lasik surgeon that you can tell I sent you to them! With Lasik Surgery you can get by with improved vision for years to come, even eliminating the need for glasses in most cases. I would say that the surgery is actually cheaper than glasses because you don’t have to buy lasik over and over again.

You hear about antivirus software all the time, but what about antispyware software. People in my field know that spyware is much more common than virus’ will ever be. The reason for that? Most virus programs do not make anyone money, they are simply malicious. Spyware on the other hand has boat loads of money in it. Spyware can do everything from steal your World of Warcraft login and password, to credit card information, sending these valuable assets to a central database where they can be used by criminals to either sell or spend your hard earned money! So the big question is are you protected from spyware? And if not why don’t you follow the link provided to get various antispyware software programs that can keep your computer safe from attacks.

There are a lot of factors in this world that are unmeasurable. Such as the value of a good nights sleep. Research has gone into the fact that people who get good nights sleep most nights of the week live longer, happier lives… so what is a few more years to you? If you’re thinking primarily in money, what do you make a year, and how much could you accumulate if you had just a couple of extra years to live? If you’re thinking in terms a little more meaningful how valuable is even one more years worth of smiles, hugs, kisses, and cuddles from your wife? How can one put a value on a years worth of outings with your son, one more year of recitals with your daughter. So the big question now is, are you getting a good nights rest? If the answer is no, why? Is it because you need a new bed? I’m surprised at how little value some people put into beds, after all a good bed is the foundation to a good nights sleep… and we’ve already discussed the value of a good nights sleep. Do yourself a favor and check out a new bed for yourself, you owe it to your family to get a good nights rest every night.

So I will be embarking on a new journey in website land. As per an idea of my wife we’re going to be creating a new website sort of an ezine like Cosmo, or Vogue only for girl geeks. She wants to write about fashion tips, keeping in shape (including carpal tunnel prevention, and what not), and of course all things nerdy from gaming, to websites, and Ren. Faire. Everything nerdy and girly will be explored… I think it’s going to be fun, and interesting.

We’ve still yet to name this adventure… so if you have any ideas please feel free to drop one in a comment for us.

I’ve been dying to get into website design, and have been doing a little bit on the side here and there. The problem is my knowledge isn’t up to par with my desire. I’ve found recently that I just do not have the knowledge of PHP and MySQL that I should in order to be creating the types of websites that I want. In order to gain the knowledge I really need to go back to school also… but who has time for that? With a wife, kid, and two jobs how am I supposed to go back to school for something that really isn’t making me enough money to justify the time it would take to learn it.

That’s why Learn.com is so amazing! Not only is it Elearning classes that you can take on your own time, at your own pace but you can take several free courses as well! It’s easy too just:

COURSE SET-UP:
Please Note: You MUST use Internet Explorer, v6.0 or higher
- Go to http://www.Learn.com
- Click on “Personal”
- Register for a free account
- Take one or more free courses

You’ll be learning in no time! At a pace that won’t leave you without time for family, and at a price that leaves food on the table too!

My wife and I have decided to add Cycling to our work out routine. I’ve been cycling ever since I can remember, as a little kid our family used to play bicycle tag, we’d play around in parking lots not being used at night (mostly schools or churches) and play tag all night long. At first we started with trying to touch the other person… that didn’t work so well, neither did trying to hit the other persons tires with your own. So we settled for pulling up beside the other person for them to be “it” I’m the only one in the family that kept up riding though.

Anyways I’ve been riding my Trek 4900 since High School (Got it my Sophomore year) and lets face it the old thing is starting to show its age. I’ve already had to replace several parts on it, do tune ups, and really should of got the shocks rebuilt long ago. I crunched the original seat about two years ago doing some off road riding, bent the thing darn near in half. Now I don’t do near as much off road riding as I used to, it’s hard to find trails that allow it, and quite frankly it’s no fun in parks where riding isn’t allowed, especially when you’re dodging walkers/joggers the whole time, you just can’t get up to speed. Either way my once amazing $700 purchase that has lasted me years and held up to the abuse I dished out to it is being put into semi-retirement. The decision for me is easy, some time next year I want to save my pennies and get a Trek Elite 9.7 it’s about time I quit being afraid of the carbon fiber frames and accept that the only way I’m going to get a noticeably lighter ride is with all carbon fiber. I’ve always been afraid of breaking a carbon frame… which is why the old 4900 will only be in semi-retirement I want the aluminum frame for when I go to do some major off road riding until I am proven that the Carbon Fiber will hold up.

Anyways, the real decision is for my wife. Do I spend the $2,000 on a 8000 series for her, and hope she enjoys riding as much as I do, or start out with the 4000 series and save a little bank? Granted even the 4000 series is better than anything you’d ever find at Wal-Mart or Dick’s Sporting Goods I don’t want her to hate riding because of cheap components. On my 4900 I’ve had to change the chain, and cassette a couple of times because of the aggressive riding that I do they wear out and start jumping or skipping to other gears randomly when putting a lot of power down going up hills. I’m afraid annoyances like this would be discouraging to a beginner… but then if she doesn’t like riding or doesn’t ride more than a few times a year $2k is a lot for a bike.

Lets face it, times are tough, and a little extra cash never hurts, especially when you’re just trying to scrape by. What about $1,000 would that help you and your family get by? Now the big question, do you have a twitter account? If not then I’d be getting one now (but hey who doesn’t use Twitter? so you should be set right?). @creditloan is giving away a one thousand dollar visa gift card. If you’re not familiar with visa gift cards it is basically a pre-paid credit card that you can spend one thousand dollars on! It’s not limited to any stores or shops, that is $1k to spend on whatever you want, or need. You can even use it to pay some bills (but that is no fun who wants to do that?).

Alright, enough about that, now onto the details of how to enter! It’s actually quite simple just follow and retweet this message on twitter:
“Just entered the CreditLoan Visa Giftcard Giveaway. You can win by following @creditloan and retweeting. http://creditloan.com/twcontest”

And it is that simple! You’re well on your way to being $1,000 richer already! Now for some of the boring legal stuff contest rules You probably should read it though if you really want to win. Rules are important.
