It amazes me at how many companies are out for quick gains anymore… PayPerPost being one of them… They’re moving more and more towards the quick gain market. But hey it’s worked for Wal-Mart why shouldn’t it work for them too? What does Wally-World do that P3 is now copying? Good question… and the answer is very simple. Wal-Mart treats their employees like shit, and continually pays them less, and less. The less they pay you, the more you’re expected to do however… well I guess that’s not exactly true, they continually pay less and also hire fewer people so it increases the workload on everyone else… they also intentionally drive people away so that they can get new employees in who get paid less… or just don’t hire anyone new. Such as when I worked there they’d hire on a new person and we’d be thinking that our team was going to be full! Shortly after they’d fire two, three, four other people from the same department and when we asked when we were going to be full staff again they’d say that we were! And that the “budget” wouldn’t allow for anymore people… we’re talking about a store that staffs fewer than 200 people for 24/7 shifts, in a store size as big as 4 football fields, that makes over $3,000,000 A WEEK! And they can’t afford to be full staff? Something is seriously wrong with this business model!

PPP is doing the same thing… They continue to pay bloggers less, and less (granted the minimum is still $5 and always has been) There are more bloggers than ever before… more advertisers than ever before… and they’re raising what they charge the advertisers… in a rather deceptive manor that makes it look like you’re paying the bloggers more. They also are treating bad bloggers better, rewarding people for terrible posts… I don’t know, going over all the changes they’ve made in the last year is too much… but basically everything they do is for the advertisers… which sure are spending the money, so they should be treated right… but if you treat your bloggers badly who will you sell those ads to? Who’s going to take the opportunities in the end?
