When you hear me talking about the file extension ABC you might just be thinking that I’m trying to teach you something about the alphabet of file extensions. But you would also be wrong thinking something silly like that. The file extension abc is a common file extension used by some media programs. Some of these media programs that use the ABC extension are MusicEase as well as TablEdit. Both of these programs are music creation and editing softwares. They make creating and editing your own musical scores a snap! Simply put in all of the notes, and lines you want and replay your .abc file with MusicEase, or TablEdit.

If you’ve got .abc files on your computer and don’t know where they’ve come from try downloading and installing either MusicEase, or TablEdit and check out what songs you’ve got sitting around! Who knows, you just might have the next musical prodigy song sitting right on your desktop and not even know it ;-)

Either way, if you didn’t know what that abc file was before, you now know, and you can gain access to the right programs to play, edit, and perfect your musical scores! Have fun with your newly gained information!
