You know I never really thought of a vending machine company as a franchise. But since I think about it most vending machine companies really are just that, a franchise of sorts. I remember my dad telling me stories of back in the day he knew a guy who owned a pay phone… literally a pay phone. He payed the phone company a monthly fee and a little bit of commission and kept the rest of the profits, making mad bank… in quarters of course. I’m sure that job came to a screeching halt when Cell Phones came around.
Until the day they invent snack and soda vending machine that you can carry around with you in your pocket I’m sure that a Vending Machine Franchise is a safe bet as a business venture. Even if you’re talking about the game type of Vending Machine I’ve seen them bring in a good deal of money. Vending machine sales aren’t exactly the type of business that you just set up and forget watching the profits come in like many people think. You have to service your machines daily to maximize profits, my uncle worked for a vending machine company for a long time. He would travel all over the state of Missouri servicing vending machines. Besides the fact that they paid his gas, he also got commission from the vending machine sales and would come out very well all the time.
