Now I’m generally not the type to read instructions.В Call me a guy if you will it won’t hurt my feelings, I’m proud of the fact that I can figure out most anything without detailed instructions.В I don’t even like to follow tutorials for things like CakePHP which I’ve been learning.В I think up what I want to build with it, and find the tutorials I need to accomplish that taking their instructions and modifying as necessary.В So logically when I got my new Logitech Wave Keyboard I simply plugged it in not even looking at the instructions or installation disk, went to the Logitech website and downloaded the latest and greatest drivers!В Well there’s another reason for that too since I’ve been on 64bit Windows Vista I skip the driver installs of well everything since they’re useless to me.В I have to download the 64bit drivers before I can install my equipment.
Later however for some reason I felt the urge to open the package that contained the small instruction pamphlet (well illustrated might I add) and keyboard drivers.В In opening up the pamphlet the first thing I saw because of how it was folded was instruction number two which is simply a picture of the front of a computer (A HP from the looks of it) and a finger pushing the power button.В Under the picture in English, French, Spanish, and Portugese was the instructions “Turn ON computer.”В Where I thought to myself “Dear Lord if this is the second instruction I can’t even imagine what the first one was.”В Okay, just so you know your brand new pretty shiney keyboard won’t work without the computer on…. WHEW!!! Glad we got that out of the way, I thought my keyboard was broken, almost had to return it… but as it turns out the computer was just not on… thank you instruction manual for clearifying that, I thought I could use your keyboard without a computer.В Out of curiosity I flipped through and found instruction number one.В I was halfway expecting it to be something like “REMOVE keyboard from packaging” I was slightly relieved at the first thing listed being package contents… but not far off from remove keyboard from packaging… guess you’ve already managed to accomplish that step if you’re holding the instruction manual but you never know… and I do sincerely hope you didn’t hurt yourself in the process!
